Day 4: Road trip to Jeonju

Annyeong~

I'm writing today from the beautiful city of Jeonju <3

Right after breakfast and checking out, we set off on our 3.5 hour journey to Jeonju. I had a nice long power nap, thank you very much ^^ We checked into our hotel around 12.40pm and went out for lunch around 3pm. We had Kong Na Meul which is like bean sprout soup. It was GOOD :D

After lunch, we went to the Hanok Life Experience Hall where we learnt to make.... no, not kimchi.. we made Tteokbokki and Han Gua.

Goong Joong Tteokbokki
Han Gua

Unlike the usual red hot spicy tteokbokki, goong joong tteokbokki is marinated with soy sauce. Apparently, the King used to eat this instead because he believed spicy and salty food would make him angry. 0.0 Interesting....... Han Gua, on the other hand, is a Korean traditional dessert made from dried rice cake and honey. A day well spent in the kitchen I must say ^^  except for the part where I accidentally dropped boiled honey on CY's hand :/ SORRRRYYY!!!!!

After lunch, we had free time to roam the streets of Jeonju. The landscape here is soooo pretty. Trees everywhere and the occasional lamp post and traditional houses were a sight for sore eyes. Aside from that, I spotted so many couples here today.. How do I know they're a couple.. They dress alike. And the thing is, it doesn't stop at couple tees... I saw one in a couple tee, pants and shoes...... You don't see that everyday in KL.
Busy streets in the afternoon
Chili farm

Beautiful clouds
Busy busy
Memorial for a filial son
SungKyunKwan Scandal was filmed here ^^

All in all, the highlight of  the day has to be the food. I have yet to try Bibimbap though.... hmmmmm.. Will definitely have it before I leave :D
